Message: In the 1960-1970's I used to fly out of CFB Summerside in US Coast Guard C-130's on Intl Ice Patrol. Each crew would spend a month at Summerside then another C-130 would arrive with a new crew and we would fly back to our home base in North Carolina. Had many good times in the Summerside Legion Hall. We would bring motorcycles in our C-130 and use them to sight see the island. Regards to Bud the Spud!

Message: Greetings from Chicago, Illinois. I am member of Columbia Yacht Club whom some of you may know is now the owner of the QSMV Abegweit, the former Queen of the Northumberland Strait which now serves as our club ship! I recently stretched a longwire antenna between the masts of the ship and am happy to report that I am on the air aboard the Abby. Although my setup is now temporary, my hope is to re-activate the radio room on this ship to demonstrate and display modern electronics aside historical pieces which remain from the Abby's operational days. I am writing this note to invite any of you to schedule a contact with me if you'd like to work the Abby! Just shoot me an email to besore@gmail.com and we'll set up a time. I may also try to get into your local repeater system through ILRP or Echolink if I can figure that out. 73 de Tom W9LT in Chicago.

Message: Hello Six meters:
I wanted your 6m Repeater group to know I was working the
VY2SIX machine about 6 pm my time today; June 15th 2010.
My QTH is just north of Toronto.
I called for about 10 minutes but had no luck in getting anyone to acknowledge my calls.
Perhaps I will have better luck on another ocassion.
