Members of the A.R.I. Sezione Brunico\/Sektion Bruneck will be using the special event callsign\u00a0II3BIA<\/strong>\u00a0to be active between February 12-23rd.<\/p>\n

Activity is to celebrate the Biathlon World Championships in Antholz\/South Tyrol, Italy.<\/p>\n

Operations will be on 160\/80\/60\/40\/30\/20\/17\/15\/12\/10\/6\/2m and 70cm using CW, SSB, the Digital modes and QO 100 Es’ Hail 2 Satellites.<\/p>\n

Look for special event station\u00a08A17BJR<\/strong>\u00a0between February 19-21st.
\nActivity is to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the local ORARI Kota Banjar radio club.<\/p>\n

John, GW4SKA, BARTG President, reports that members of the\u00a0British Amateur Radio Teledata Group<\/strong>\u00a0(BARTG) will be celebrating the club’s ‘Diamond Jubilee’ (60th anniversary of supporting the data modes) with the special callsign\u00a0GB60ATG<\/strong>\u00a0until June 30th.<\/p>\n

The callsign will be active from different UK countries each week.
\nSpecial awards are available for contact with GB60ATG using any data mode.<\/p>\n

Australian Special Event…<\/h1>\n

Members of the Cairns Amateur Radio Club (Cairns, Far North Queensland) will activate the special event call-sign\u00a0VI250COOK<\/strong>\u00a0between May 1st and August 31st.<\/p>\n

Activity is to commemorate the 250th anniversary of\u00a0Captain James Cook<\/strong>\u00a0sailing up the east coast of Australia from what is now Sydney to what is now Cooktown in Far North Queensland. This historic trip is being replicated by the Australian Maritime Museum’s replica of his ship, the Endeavour

\n(https:\/\/www.sea.museum\/whats-on\/events\/sail-the-endeavour<\/a>).<\/p>\n

They will be sharing availability of this distinctive callsign with various other Australian amateur radio clubs as the Endeavour calls into their cities or passes by on its voyage, culminating with the Cairns Amateur Radio Club operating from both Cairns and Cooktown.<\/p>\n
