{"id":3088,"date":"2022-04-12T09:00:49","date_gmt":"2022-04-12T12:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.summersidearc.com\/?p=3088"},"modified":"2022-04-12T09:00:51","modified_gmt":"2022-04-12T12:00:51","slug":"rac-ised-releases-updated-policy-on-amateur-radio-and-examinations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.summersidearc.com\/index.php\/2022\/04\/12\/rac-ised-releases-updated-policy-on-amateur-radio-and-examinations\/","title":{"rendered":"RAC: ISED\u00a0Releases Updated Policy on Amateur Radio and Examinations&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On March 22, 2022, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada&nbsp;(ISED) released updated versions of two important policy documents:&nbsp;<strong><em>RIC-1 \u2013 Guide for Examiners Accredited to Conduct Examinations for Amateur Radio Operator Certificates<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong><em>RIC-3 \u2013 Information on the Amateur Radio Service<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both documents were updated to reflect the changes made to the&nbsp;<strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/regulations\/sor-96-484\/FullText.html\">Radiocommunication Regulations<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, specifically the rescinded ISED $20 examination fee for Amateur Radio Operator Certificates and the removal of certificates that are no longer issued by ISED.
