Activity will be on various HF bands using CW and FT8. QSL via K1NU, direct, ClubLog or LoTW.

NA-085. Bruce, K5TEN, who usually activates Dog Island (WW. Loc EL79) every year in June as K4D, will be active this year between May 16th and 26th. Dog Island (USI FL005S, WW Loc.EL79), Florida, is an extremely rare IOTA because access is controlled by the 25 or so homeowners on the island. There are no hams on the island, and the only activations have been done by Bruce over the last 9 years. Access is by permission only and permission by one of the homeowners. It is only accessible by private charter or single engine fixed wing aircraft and by charter boat. The airstrip is overgrown so private charter is the only real choice. There are no streets, roads, stop signs, trendy cafes, or beach-front bars. If you need it, you bring it. This year’s activity will only be on 40-6 meters primarily on CW, SSB, FM, using 100 watts an ICOM 7100 into an off center fed dipole. Suggested frequencies are:
CW – 7027.5, 7110, 10110, 14027.5, 21027.5 and 28010 kHz
SSB – 7185, 14260, 21285 and 28310 kHz
QSL via K5TEN, SASE REQUIRED for stateside and DX (DX 1 USDs REQUIRED). Also, QSL via the Bureau or eQSL (Is Best). See QRZ.com or May QST for more details.

PLEASE NOTE: Since the Webmasters of the IOTA website have decided NOT to post or dedicate a Web page to announce upcoming IOTA operations, PLEASE send your IOTA operations information to the OPDX, and we will post it here in an upcoming bulletin……

Island activities:

The following are IOTA operations that were active this past week between May 9-14th (as per the DXCluster):

IOTA Callsign Island/GROUP Bands/Modes
——
