It\u2019s emergency readiness, but also a great hobby with regular island-wide activities plus you get to meet cool, fun, and nerdy people all over the world whenever you want to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Main topics covered will be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Regulations and Policies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operating and Procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Station Assembly, Practice and Safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Circuit Components<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic Electronics and Theory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feedlines and Antenna Systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Radio Wave Propagation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interference and Suppression<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no age limits or prerequisites&nbsp;for the course. Tuition is $100 which includes the exam and a portable radio to get you started after you pass the exam.
