To qualify for the title\u00a0Amateur of the Year<\/strong>, an individual should have made an outstanding contribution to Amateur Radio in the past year, or have contributed consistently to the welfare of Amateur Radio over several years.<\/p>\n

RAC Directors, Officers and Section Managers are not eligible for the award while in office, and not in respect to their term(s) of office.<\/p>\n

Nominations with supporting documentation are to be addressed to the RAC Corporate Secretary (see address at bottom of the page) and received at RAC Headquarters by the close of the last business day of September (September 28<\/strong>), for consideration for the current year. Selection of the winning candidate will be by majority vote of the RAC Board of Directors based on the supporting documentation submitted with the nomination. The winning candidate will be notified by mail.<\/p>\n

Due recognition will appear in\u00a0The Canadian Amateur<\/em>\u00a0and a suitable plaque will be presented at an appropriate time and place.<\/p>\n

Mise en nomination \u2013 Prix Amateur de l\u2019annee<\/h4>\n

Pour se qualifier au titre \u00ab\u00a0Amateur de l\u2019ann\u00e9e<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb, une personne doit avoir fourni une contribution hors du commun \u00e0 la cause radioamateure au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e qui se termine, ou avoir travaill\u00e9 substantiellement au bien-\u00eatre du radioamateurisme depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Les directeurs de RAC, dirigeants et\u00a0g\u00e9rants de section ne sont pas \u00e9ligibles au Prix aussi longtemps qu\u2019ils sont en fonction, et sans consid\u00e9ration quant \u00e0 leur(s) mandat(s).<\/p>\n

Les mises en nomination, document\u00e9es, doivent \u00eatre envoy\u00e9es au secr\u00e9taire de RAC de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 ce qu\u2019elles parviennent au si\u00e8ge social de RAC au plus tard \u00e0 la fin du dernier jour ouvrable du mois de septembre (28 septembre<\/strong>) pour \u00eatre prises en consid\u00e9ration la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e.\u00a0Le choix du candidat gagnant est effectu\u00e9 \u00e0 la majorit\u00e9 des membres du Bureau des directeurs, bas\u00e9 sur la documentation accompagnant la mise en nomination.\u00a0Le candidat gagnant est avis\u00e9 par la poste.<\/p>\n

The Canadian Amateur<\/em>\u00a0(TCA) publiera un texte de f\u00e9licitation et une plaque sera remise au r\u00e9cipiendaire en temps et lieu appropri\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
