General Meeting

January 11, 2006

The President, VY2WRV, called the general meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with 14 members present: VY2FF, VY2JR, VY2WA, VY2DRS, VY2AA, VY2HR, VY2CK, VY2RU, VY2RG, VY2CGA, VY2WRV, VY2EUV, VY2ROC, and VY2GD.

The minutes of the last meeting were read. Moved by Ken VY2RU and seconded by Dave VY2DRS to approve the minutes as read. All in favor. Motion carried.

Business arising from the minutes: Nothing has been heard from the RCMP.

Correspondence: The province of PEI is looking for assistance with communications for the 2009 Canada Summer Games. George Meggison VY2GM is the contact with the government.

Treasurer’s Report: Yvan VY2EUV reported an updated Treasurer’s report to all present. Moved by Wayne VY2WA and seconded by Bob VY2RG to approve report. All in favor. Carried.

Committee Reports:

Repeater/Technical: The locks have been changed at the Water Tower and new keys have been procured. The UHF link to NS has been changed back to Springhill VE1SPR. The packet and 2M radio are operating from the 20Amp power supply.

City of Summerside Emergency Measures: No Update. Note that Robert VY2HR now works with the City of Summerside in this area.

Added Agenda:

Bus Update: No Update.

Clubhouse: A couple of sections of tower are on the roof. A computer has been installed at the clubhouse. There was discussion of more work of erecting the tower and antenna on the roof.

Christmas Party: The Christmas party went over well and all had a good time. A special thank you goes out to Gib VY2GIB and Don VY2DON for their wonderful cooking.

New Business: No Update

Moved by Wayne VY2WA and seconded by Bob VY2RG. Meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.
