The minutes of the last meeting were read.  Moved by Ken VY2RU and seconded by Gerry VY2GD to approve minutes.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

Business arising from minutes:  The Air Cadet “field day” will be in the evening on May 15th.  Possibly a 12-volt radio could be set up.  John VE1CM would see about using his mobile rig in the field.  The letter was sent to Industry Canada asking to have the trustee changed on the O’Leary repeater’s call sign.

Treasurer’s Report:  Yvan VY2EUV presented an updated treasurer’s report as of April 30, 2004 to all in attendance.  Moved by Yvan VY2EUV and seconded by Wayne VY2WA to approve report.  All in favor. Motion carried.

Correspondence:  The Linkletter Restaurant has offered to display the club’s plaques in the solarium.

Committee Reports:

Repeater/Technical:  A power supply was picked up at the flea market in New Hampshire.  The call sign of VY2SIX has been approved for the six-meter repeater.  The repeater is ready in Halifax.  The antennas for the six-meter repeater are low in frequency so will have to change them.

City of Summerside Emergency Measures:  No report.

Added Agenda:

Bus Update:  The bus will be painted at Bill’s barn as he has an air compressor.  Bill will show those involved where things are so that the painting can happen in his absence.  An account will be setup at the O’Leary Home Hardware for supplies.  Richard VY2WRV and Clare VY2CK will coordinate with Bill.

Flea Market Update:  No tables have been booked to-date.  Rodney VY2CGA has had positive responses back from Radioworld, Durham Radio and Maple Leaf Communications.

Abegweit Award Update:  Was administered by the ARA, which consisted of 3 directors and 1 president.  Since ARA is defunct, it was mentioned that the former executive could meet and dissolve the association.

RAC Update:  David Goodwin is now the representative until an election.  There will be a meeting at the Halifax flea market with information on the RAC situation.

New Business:

Field Day:  Field day will be held on June 26/27 at Belmont Provincial Park. Moved by Richard VY2WRV and seconded by Clare VY2CK to approve $300.00 for Field Day.  All in favor.  Motion Passed.

June Dinner Meeting: Steve will check with the Ming-Wang Restaurant for availability for Saturday, June 12th at 7:00 pm.

Moved by Wendell VY2CC and seconded by Richard VY2WRV to Adjourn.  Meeting adjourned at 8:58 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Rodney Mann
