General Meeting
November 08, 2006
The President called the meeting to order at 7:36 with 9 members present. VY2AA,VY2WRV, Marie, VY2RG, VE1EO, VY2CGA, VY2SS, VY2LI & VY2DS.
The minutes from the Oct. meeting were read. Moved by Doug VY2DS and seconded by Gord VE1EO that the minutes be approved as read. All in favour. Motion carried.
Business arising from the minutes: No interest was shown in the Basic Emergency Management Course. We will check the qualifications for examiner and see if Bill VY2FF meets the qualifications.
Correspondence: We received a letter from the C.N.I.B. requesting a donation. It was thought that we approved a $50.00 donation earlier in the year. In checking the ledger the Marie could not find where a check was sent The Secretary will review earlier minutes and report back at the next meeting. We received a letter from Bill Innis of Nova Scotia. He collects QSL cards and asked if any members would be interested in sending him some. If interested contact the Secretary for his address.

Report: Marie reported that we have changed to a Community Account at
The Credit Union that will cost $.75 per transaction instead of $7.00 per year.
It was suggested that she set up a separate item for bus expenses and list
some of the items in Misc. and Equipment . Moved by Bob VY2RG and seconded by
Doug VY2DS that the Treasurer's report be accepted as presented. All in favour.
Motion carried.

Clubhouse: No report
New Business:
Web Host: Rodney VY2CGA reported that
we lost the free hosting for our website . We have found a new host at a cost of
US $30.00 a year. Moved by Gord VE1EO and seconded by Doug VY2DS that we
reimburse Rodney for the cost (CDN $34.94). All in favour. Motion carried.
Christmas Dinner: The Christmas dinner will be held at Gentlemen Jim's on Wed. Dec. 13 beginning at 6:00- 6:30 PM. We can have our choice of roast beef or turkey dinner including tea coffee and dessert for $9.99 + tax & tip or items can be ordered from the menu.
Fund Script: Rodney VY2CGA reported on a fund raising plan from Fund Script. It allows club members to order gift cards for various businesses and the club will receive a commission of 2% or higher. More information is available on their website www.fundscript.ca .
Moved by Doug VY2DS and seconded by Gord VE1EO to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 8:24 PM.
