The minutes of the last meeting were read.  Moved by Adam VY2AA and seconded by Mike VE1MTH to approve the minutes as read.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

Business arising from the minutes:

Correspondence:  Wayne VY2WA received a thank you letter from the City of Summerside for the club’s participation with Nature Fest.  It was noted that there were articles mentioning the club’s participation before the event but there was nothing noted in any articles after the event.  This will be brought up when the key is to be returned for the Wilmot Centre.  It was also mentioned to have an information table on Amateur Radio for the next Nature Fest.

Treasurer’s Report:  Yvan VY2EUV presented an updated treasurer’s report as of .September 30, 2005 to all those in attendance.  Moved by Ken VY2RU and seconded by Gerry VY2GD to approve report.  All in favor.  Carried.

Committee Reports:

Repeater/Technical:  The 6-Metre repeater is working.  The EchoLink repeater is still not ready for operation.  The UHF link to O’Leary needs an adjustment.  The Cluster is acting up again and will be investigated.  As a note there are plans for an additional APRS site to be installed in Charlottetown for additional coverage.

City of Summerside Emergency Measures: None

Added Agenda:

Bus Update:  No Update.

Clubhouse:  Antenna installation was discussed.  We would need approx 2x125ft runs of coax and approx 42ft of conduit to run it in.  Moved by Gerry VY2GD and seconded by Wayne VY2WA to approve the antenna installation project at the clubhouse.  All in favor.  Carried.  It was discussed to use Don’s beam at the clubhouse.  It was also discussed about the possibility of the club acquiring different band radios for use at the clubhouse.  Some sort of fundraising would be needed for this to happen.  Any ideas?

Christmas Party:  No Update

New Business:

QSL Cards:  Moved by Ken VY2RU and seconded by Bob VY2RO to purchase a lot of QSL cards for the club with Summerside’s picture on it with a blank call space.  All in favor.  Carried.  If 20 groups each order 1000 cards then the price will be $120.00.  Perhaps the city may even subsidize, as we would be promoting Summerside.

Moved by Bob VY2RO and seconded by Ken VY2RU.  Meeting adjourned at 8:48 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Rodney Mann Club Secretary
