Annual Meeting

October 12, 2005

The President, VY2WRV, called the general meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. with 17 members present: VY2CGA, VY2WRV, VY2WA, VY2GD, VE1MTH, VY2AA, VY2RO, VY2FF, VY2EUV, VY2RU, VE1PEI, VY2DS, VY2GM, VE1CM, VY2DON, VY2EFA and Claudette.

The minutes of the last meeting were read. Moved by Bob VY2RO and seconded by Gerry VY2GD to approve minutes as read. All in favor. Motion carried.

Business arising from minutes: None

Correspondence: None

Election of Officers: Ken VY2RU took the chair as the nominating committee. The nominating committee put forward the following names for each position: President – Richard Veale VY2WRV, Vice-President – Adam Campbell VY2AA, Secretary – Rodney Mann VY2CGA, and Treasurer – Yvan Royer VY2EUV.

Ken asked three times from the floor for nominations for the position of President. Moved by Adam VY2AA and seconded by Gerry VY2GD to cease nominations. Motion carried. Richard Elected by acclamation. Ken asked three times from the floor for the position of Vice-President. Moved by Bill VY2FF and seconded by Bob VY2RO to cease nominations. Adam VY2AA elected by acclamation. Ken asked three times from the floor for the position of Secretary. Moved by John VE1CM and seconded by Douglas VY2DS to cease nominations. Rodney VY2CGA elected by acclamation. Ken asked three times from the floor for the position of Treasurer. Moved by Ella VE1PEI and seconded by George VY2GM to cease nominations. Yvan VY2EUV elected by acclamation. There was applause for the thank you for their hard work for the outgoing executive and for the new beginnings for the newly elected executive.

Moved by Douglas VY2DS and seconded by Wayne VY2WA to adjourn. All in favor. Motion carried. Annual meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
