Minutes of Summerside Amateur Radio Club Inc.

General Meeting

September 13, 2006

The President, VY2WRV, called the general meeting to order at 7:54 p.m. with 6 members present: VY2FF, VY2WA, VY2GD, VY2CGA, VY2WRV and VY2EUV.

Just a note that quorum was not met. The meeting was held but no motions were passed (discussion only).

The minutes of the last meeting were read.

Business arising from the minutes: No Update.

Correspondence: The City of Summerside is holding Nature Fest on October 01, 2006 at Rotary Park. They were wondering if the radio club is willing to host the corn boil again this year. If corn is available then we will hold the corn boil. It will be brought up for discussion as to hold future corn boils for the City.

Committee Reports:

Treasurer’s Report: Yvan VY2EUV gave an updated treasurer’s report to those present..

Repeater/Technical: No Update.

City of Summerside Emergency Measures: Wayne VY2WA reported that new batteries are needed for the City’s handheld radios.

Added Agenda:

Bus Update: No Update.

Clubhouse: No Update.

Call Plates: No Update.

New Business:

Emergency Plan: The mock EMO exercise was held and was a great learning experience.

Field Day: Field day was held again at Belmont Park and was well attended and considered a success.

Meeting adjourned at 8:42 pm.
