Amateur Radio & COVID-19….

Amateur Radio & COVID-19

With COVID-19 taking hold here in the Maritimes and everyone asked to stay home many will find the time long and boring.
As an amateur radio operator, you can keep active by getting on the radio, talking to friends around the corner, across the Maritimes, Canada and around the world. There are many radio nets here in the Maritimes to keep you active so support them by taking part.
Here are just a few.
The Maritime HF Net is on each evening at 7pm AT on 3.750Mhz.
The 2M Wake-Up Net Monday-Friday 7:30am AT MAVCOM System
Maritime Fusion Net: Wednesday 7pm AT CQ Maritimes Room 60207
IRG New Brunswick Sunday Net 9pm AT
There are also many local club nets to check into during the week. Contact local clubs for day and time.
All three Maritime Provinces are now under a state of Emergency. Please do what is needed, self isolate and this will pass.
Hope to hear you “On the Air”
Everyone stay safe,
This crisis will pass so let’s make the best of it.
NOTICE: SMART 20 has now been canceled. Thank you to everyone who registered for the event, the presenters, volunteers, and clubs who donated prizes. Future updates will be found on the SMART webpage.
