IOTA News from OPDX October 18, 2021….

AS-200. Take, JI3DST, will once again be active as JI3DST/5 (mainly for DX and 6m Multi-Hop), JR8YLY/5 (mainly for JA, JR8YLY/P for FT8) from Shodo Island (Shikoku’s Coastal Islands) between 0700z, October 20th, and 0000z, November 4th. Operation may vary due to heavy rain or other conditions. Activity will be on 40/30/20/17/15/12/10/6 meters using CW, SSB and FT8 (possibly FM/RTTY). QSL JI3DST/5 via ClubLog’s OQRS (direct or by the Bureau). QSL JR8YLY/5 via ClubLog (only Bureau). Please don’t send QSL to SAPPORO 004-0041 Japan (QRZCOM QTH).

EU-050. Operators Luca/IK5AEQ and Franco/IZ5IUY will once again be active as IL7/IK5AEQ and IL7/IZ5IUY, respectively from Ettore, IL7/IK7DIJ, QTH on San Domino Island between October 20-24th. Activity will be on 80-2 meters using SSB and FT8/FT4. QSL via their home callsign, by the Bureau, LoTW or ClubLog.

NA-067. Mike, W7LG, will be active as W7LG/4 from Hatteras Island between October 24-29th. Activity will be holiday style on 80/40/20 meters using CW and SSB. It is suggested to look for him between 1600-2100z and 0000-0230z. QSL via W7LG, direct, eQSL or LoTW.

NA-070. Operators Yuri/N3QQ, Walt/N6XG, Rob/N7QT, Tim/NL8F and Hal/W8HC have rescheduled their aborted KL7RRC IOTA DXpedition to Kiska Island to take place between July 4-11th, 2022. QSL via N7RO. For more details and updates, watch: https://www.na-234.com

NA-096/ Kasimir, DL2SBY, will be active as HI7/DL2SBY from Punta Cana NA-122. and Bayahibe (NA-096) between December 1-14th. Activity will be holiday style using TS480SAT, IC-705, Juma1000 and different dipoles including for 160m. Modes will be CW, FT8 and possibly some SSB when conditions are good enough. He will also try a one day operation during the second week from Saona Island (NA-122) signing as HI2/DL2SBY. QSL via his home callsign or ClubLog’s OQRS. NO Bureau. Logs will be uploaded to LoTW after his return home.

SA-092. (PZ5G QRT) Markus/DJ4EL (PZ5GE) announced on October 16th, the following on Twitter: The flood made us QRT now. I am sorry. We were the first team to stay overnight and noticed that it is almost impossible to stay on Papegaaien while the water is high.
